The Sift Guide
Editorial Mission & Community Transparency

About The Sift Guide:
Our Mission & Methodology

An independent, community-driven wiki and forensic research project tracking Minecraft's 4th dimension announced at Minecraft Live 2026.

01

Our Mission

When Mojang Studios revealed The Sift at Minecraft Live 2026—marking the first new official dimension added to Minecraft in over 14 years since The End in 2011—the global community was overwhelmed with fragmented rumors, clickbait videos, and unsubstantiated leaks.

The Sift Guide was created to serve as an authoritative, ad-clean, and technologically precise repository for Minecraft builders, technical redstone engineers, and lore scholars. Our goal is simple: deliver verified facts, rigorous frame-by-frame analysis of official footage, and interactive utility calculators without marketing fluff or misleading claims.

100%
Ad-Clean Experience

Zero intrusive popups, auto-playing video overlays, or paywalls.

0-Latency
Edge-Delivered Static Wiki

Built with pure semantic HTML and Tailwind CSS for instant load times worldwide.

4-Tier
Evidence Verification

Every claim is explicitly categorized by verification status.

02

Research Methodology & Fact-Checking

To prevent misinformation from polluting the Minecraft community wiki space, our editorial contributors adhere to a strict forensic evaluation pipeline:

A Official Stream & Keynote Forensics

Every frame of Minecraft Live 2026 broadcasts, Mojang Monthly developer vlogs, and official B-roll clips is analyzed at 4K resolution. Coordinate displays, tooltip text, and block lighting values are cross-checked against vanilla game code.

B Developer Interviews & Social Feeds

We actively archive commentary from Mojang developers (including lead designers and technical directors) across X/Twitter, Reddit AMA threads, and Discord partner channels to confirm feature intent and design rationale.

C Minecraft Dungeons II Cross-Referencing

Because The Sift will debut in playable form within Minecraft Dungeons II in 2026 prior to the 2027 vanilla update, our team monitors Unreal Engine data tables, enemy taxonomy, and weapon lore to preview mechanics.

D Java & Bedrock Snapshot Decompilation

As experimental snapshots and preview builds release throughout 2027, our technical team decompiles JAR files, inspects JSON worldgen biomes, and benchmarks dimension performance across hardware tiers.
